Ordsall History Play

A new play exploring Ordsall's past

Salford Lads Club | Saturday 20 June, 2pm

Commissioned for the Ideas4Ordsall project, Box of Tricks, together with playwright Chris Hoyle, has supported local resident and first-time writer Rosemary Swift to write a new play delving into Ordsall’s past. Set on the night of the 1911 Census, expect to be taken on a journey through Ordsall’s fascinating history.

Join us for a promenade rehearsed reading of this brand new play at the iconic Salford Lads Club on the afternoon of Saturday 20th June. Box of Tricks will also be delivering a drama workshop with local young people from Oasis Academy in Salford, exploring the history of the area and stories in the play.

Ideas4Ordsall is a University of Salford research project supporting people’s ideas, giving them a bit of a boost and supporting the development & production process. From a foragers guide to Ordsall to an observation bee hive, explore the activity from over 20 different projects, all valuable to the community of Ordsall. www.ideas4ordsall.org
