Just a quick word to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated to our 18th Birthday Appeal. We’ve been overwhelmed by all your supportive messages, kind words and generous donations.

Unbelievably, we raised over £10,000 in just 8 weeks with more than 100 people making a pledge and joining our crowd. With Gift Aid, we have exceeded our £12,000 target.

That money will be invested in our PlayMakers Programme in the coming months. Every pound, every penny makes a real difference.

More new plays, more events, more free space, more development programmes, more commissions, more podcast episodes, more support for LGBTQ+ writers, more masterclasses, more creative jams. All told, more provision for Northern playwrights and theatremakers.

While the landscape for new writing remains challenging, thanks to your support, Box of Tricks will continue to be a creative home for Northern playwrights and theatremakers.

Our Crowdfunder page will remain open. The more we raise, the more we’ll be able to do now and in the future. So if you meant to donate, and didn’t get round to it, there’s still time!
