With many PlayMakers decamping North of the Border, Box of Tricks brings together Manchester theatremakers and offstage creatives to swap stories, practical advice and survival tips to stay happy and healthy throughout the month of August. Whether you’re a Fringe veteran or virgin, if you’re heading up to the ‘Burgh to be onstage, offstage or anywhere in-between, this will be a festival essential for you!

An 'in the moment' workshop for all creative disciplines with Box of Tricks' Associate Artist Lee Affen
Creatives of all disciplines, this is a jam. Lee Affen (AffenAudio) holds the space for practicing artists of all disciplines to come together and explore the magic of collaboration.
A workshop exploring theatre and sound, this is a space for musicians, writers, visual artists, dancers…everyone, to create unique and ‘in the moment’ connections.
This is a night with ambiguity, play and surprise at its heart and your involvement will make this workshop fly. So, bring your scratchy ideas and an open mind and let’s create chaos and beauty together.
